FEATURES
Mitre Cutting
The bow can be manually swivelled to the left up to 60o (beyond mitre)
Hydraulic Vice
Rigidity is one of the most important factors for cutting quality and longer blade life. If the material moves, blade breakage would be inevitable. All DURMA bandsaws come standard with a hydraulic vice.
Variable Control of Band Speed
It is very import that the band speed is appropriate to cut different material hardness. All DURMA bandsaws come standard with variable speed control. Simply use the up arrow to increase band speed and the down arrow to decrease speed. With a DURMA machine there is no need to change V belt pulleys.
Bimetal Bandsaw blade and Cooling System
As standard, one bi-metal blade is supplied suitable for general purpose cutting. Water based coolant is delivered with desired flow to the band and the cutting area via a strong centrifugal pump. The machine is dispatched without coolant oil.
Blade Tensioning-Hydro mechanic (THM)
As standard the blade tension is through the manual wind hydro-mechanical system. A gauge is provided to show blade tension pressure. In the event of blade breakage the machine automatically stops
Bearing and Carbide Type Blade Housing (BH)
The blade guides are critical to keep the blade straight and the cut square. DURMA has carbide inserts on each side of the blade to square it after coming of the pulleys plus a vertical bearing running along the back of the blade to absorb the thrust of cutting.
Cutting Height Adjustment (CHA)
A simple but effective way to increase productivity when performing multiple cuts is to set the bow lift height just enough for the work to pass through. It does not get any simpler than lowering the collar down the column.
Chip Brush (CB)
The manual chip bush cleans most of the swarf from the blade and prevents the build up of swarf on undesirable areas of the saw
Roller Material Table L=1200mm (RT1200)
As standard the saw is supplied with a 1200mm heavy duty roller table. Extra tables can be purchased for either the in-feed or out-feed side of the saw.

A motorised chip brush achieves better cleaning of the blade
If you want to achieve the most productivity out of your saw then this relatively inexpensive option minimise clean down time and keeps your saw in production for longer. You will really notice the benefit when cutting a lot of solid material which produces large amounts of swarf.
Operated via the control panel the hydraulic blade tensioning option requires no manual intervention. The hydraulic system is set to the correct pressure so no chance of over tensioning. It is a quick and easy way to relax the tension on the blade over night. This will increase blade life. If the blade breaks the system will stop the saw.
An awesome feature to have especially if cutting a lot of one off pieces at different lengths. Also makes setting angle cuts much easier. There is no need to lower the blade just above the work to set the cut length thus dramatically prevents accidents of lowering the blade into the material cause expensive blade breakages.
A strongly recommended option if you wish to bundle (gang) cut. The overhead hydraulic clamp provides added support to the bundle thus prevent material movement which results in immediate blade breakage.
A spray of cutting oil is used on the blade instead of flood water based coolant. More ecological friendly and minimise coolant usage and expense.
A highly recommended option if cutting structural steel or hollow sections. The profile of these sections makes the blade have periods of heavy load and periods with little load during the cut. This option automatically obtains the desired cutting pressure.
Suitable for on the in-feed or out-feed side of the saw
A 3 metre section of motorised feed tables. Suitable for on the in-feed side of the saw. Controlled via the main console
